Scottish music legend Alan McGee has curated his very own festival to celebrate the legacy of the Creation record label.

Hosted in collaboration with the City of Wolverhampton council, Creation Day will feature artists some of the finest UK acts of past and present, all of whom have been handpicked my McGee himself.

Headlining the event are the Happy Mondays and Editors, with Liverpudlian legends Echo and the Bunnymen also making an appearance. Fans can also hope to see Cast, who are celebrating 25 years since their seminal All Change album, and Ash who are also celebrating a quarter of a century of hits.

True to his roots of spotting promising up and coming talent, McGee has also enlisted a number of exciting new acts from his Creation 23 label, including Marquis Drive, Shambolics, and CAT SFX.

McGee hopes this will be the first of many Creation Day festivals to come and more additions to the line-up have been promised over the coming months.

The two day event will take place from the 29th to the 30th May 2021 at Wolverhampton’s West Park. Tickets go on sale at 10 am on October 21st.  Find more details here.
