Huyton singer Katie Mac has announced that her new EP ‘The Drive’ will be released on 13th December.

Her previous EP ‘Believe’ landed back in 2018, with her powerfully vulnerable style earning her plays on BBC Introducing and BBC 6 Music. That project, produced by Sam Duckworth (Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly), drew strong comparisons with artists such as PJ Harvey and Joni Mitchell.

Her modern folk sound is reminiscent of both Laura Marling and Regina Spektor, two artists she cites as major influences, with the Merseyside singer drawing in her audiences in a similarly captivating style.

Having recently played in Liverpool’s Fresh Blood Festival, Mac seems on the brink of breaking through to the next level with this new project.

Her next show is at the Handyman in Liverpool on 2nd November as part of Operation Lightfoot, alongside other acts such as Satin Beige, Meilir and Nick Ellis.

Make sure you listen to the first single ‘Golden’ to drop from the new EP, which is released on all platforms this Friday (25th October).
