Liverpool band SPQR have announced their new record label Nuthin Gud, alongside the release of their new single of the same name.

Speaking on founding the label, the trio said it was ‘something we’ve always aspired to do’.

The band released their previous work on Modern Sky UK, a Liverpool-based indie label that is home to some of best musicians in the scene right now - The Blinders, The Lathums, Abbie Ozard and several more.

The new single, and the accompanying video, speak to the new-found confidence of SPQR – with the powerful new track reminding us just how far they’ve come (and can go).

The off-kilter new video portrays the three as lost souls, half-relaxing and half-crazed by the beach, before the three of them walk into the sea.

This is their first release since their excellent ‘Low Sun Long Shadows’ EP dropped earlier this year.

If you want to catch the art-rock trio live, make sure you grab tickets for their Manchester gig next February or Newcastle’s Hit The North festival next May!
