If you are looking for refreshing, thoughtful, and melody-driven new music, look no further than Meadow Meadow. Made up of former Spring King members Peter Darlington and James Green, Meadow Meadow are a duo that have crafted a project that shifts between dream-pop, psych-pop, and indietronica.

The EP starts with a short intro, ‘Bonzo’, a song that is a great first glimpse, immediately conveying the bubbly energy and the psychedelic feel of the EP. The second track, ‘Fireworks’, is a near-five minute psychedelic wonderland of synthesised textures and electronica. The three following tracks, ‘TwoTwo’, ‘Neberdine’, and ‘Scar’ continue the mystical and melodic journey of the EP. The lyrics are quite melancholic, touching themes like childhood nostalgia, the natural world, loss, and anxiety about the future.

The melodies are peaceful and relaxing while the incorporated elements of field recordings and synthesised textures give the songs an added depth. Meadow Meadow’s self-titled EP is a mercurial contemplation of the world as they see it - an incredibly confident debut.
