Can a person take any positives from a near fatal motorbike accident? You can if you’re Bugzy Malone. His most recent release ‘Don't Cry’ is the second track detailing his traumatic experience earlier this year. ‘I’m bleeding out’ is never something you want to hear but for Bugzy it was a reality, one he decided to share with the world.

The tracks starts with a long sigh which speaks to the souls of his fans. You can hear all the pain and sorrow and fear in just this one sound. It’s unequivocally clear that this track was created to tell his story more than it was to promote his brand or to sell out arenas. True to his talent it does both. Bugzy is at his best when he is motivational, inspiring and uplifting - which this track epitomises in every sense.

The track is contemplative but it’s not sad or slow. It maintains Bugzy’s well-known sound, with the rich instrumentation evolving across the track and his vocals carrying a multitude of emotions. Bugzy uses these to ask some of life’s big questions, utilising his unique lyrical ability to remain grounded while searching for higher meaning.

With a new album The Resurrection on the horizon, we can expect more epic soul searching to come from Bugzy.
