Single Review: Circa Waves - Lemonade

Circa Waves may just be fresh off of releasing their latest album Sad Happy in March, but they have blessed us once again with their newest single ‘Lemonade’.

The Liverpool natives have been one of the biggest acts in Northern music since their 2015 debut album Young Chasers, and their latest single is sure to delight long-time fans, with its laidback beat meshing brilliantly with the sultry vocals of frontman Kieran Shuddall.

The track features an almost tropical guitar riff to begin with, which helps to create imagery of a beautiful (and hopefully not over-packed) beach, playing perfectly into the summery sound the band are experts in creating.

The Scouse quartet are not alone however, as they have Alfie Templeman accompanying on vocals, and the 17-year-old sensation doesn’t sound out of place one bit. His enigmatic performance illustrates why the young man is so highly regarded in the British indie scene.

‘Lemonade’ is a blissful track that is the perfect accompaniment to garden parties, hot weather and enjoying a pint (or the titular drink, if that’s your thing) with your pals. The song is streaming everywhere now, so be sure to give it a listen and don’t expect it to leave your playlist anytime soon. Check out the video below.
